Blizzard’s highly anticipated Diablo 4 has taken the gaming world by storm since its release a week ago. The developers recently unveiled the most-played class in the game, and it’s none other than the Sorcerer/Sorceress.
Big surprise? Not really. For those of us old enough to remember the early Diablo 2 days, the Sorceress was always known as a powerful class.
The abilities enable you to attack from afar, and attack many enemies at once. It has always been the most fun character class to play in Diablo, and D4 is no exception – people are loving this class.
In an exciting revelation, Diablo development chief Rod Fergusson took to Twitter to share the news, stating, “Pssst! I didn’t ask for permission to share this, but I thought you might be interested to know that right now, the number one most played class in Diablo 4 is the Sorcerer/Sorceress!”
While this information holds true as of June 9, it’s important to note that the dynamic player base and upcoming surge of players during the weekend may soon lead to changes in the statistical landscape.
Diablo 4 introduced players to a roster of five captivating classes: the powerful Sorcerer/Sorceress, the fierce Barbarian, the mystical Necromancer, the agile Rogue, and the nature-wielding Druid.
The Sorcerer/Sorceress has emerged as the favorite class, drawing players in with its undeniable allure. Renowned for their mastery of fire, lightning, and ice, the Sorcerer/Sorceress unleashes devastating long-range attacks. However, players must be mindful of the trade-off for this power, as they possess lower health and armor compared to other classes.
Beyond its strength, the Sorcerer/Sorceress class delivers an engaging and enjoyable gameplay experience. With visually stunning spells and captivating armor sets to acquire, players find themselves immersed in the magical world of Diablo 4.
It’s worth noting that while some armor sets can be obtained through exciting in-game quests, others are available for purchase through Diablo 4’s optional microtransactions, providing players with flexibility in customizing their character.
Diablo 4 has already become Blizzard’s fastest-selling game of all time, receiving widespread critical acclaim and garnering a positive response from fans, despite minor server issues encountered during launch week.
