Black Adam Release Date, Cast, Trailer, and Plot

DC is releasing a bunch of movies this year, and one of those most anticipated of all is Black Adam. This film is going to feature Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Black Adam, who went through some intense training for the role.

UPDATE: Black Adam has been pushed back to October 21, 2022. The HBO Max release date isn’t known but should come about 45 days after the initial release.

Release Date

Black Adam is set for a October 21, 2022 release, and it is not clear when it will be available on any streaming services.

It was rumored that Black Adam will be available to HBO Max users on September 13, 2022. However, the theater release date was recently pushed back to October and the HBO Max release date should come about 45 days after that.

Black Adam is essentially a spin-off from the 2019 film Shazam!, and it’s about the anti-hero, Black Adam, who breaks free from purgatory after 5,000 years of being imprisoned. His powers are similar to those of Shazam, as they both come from the wizards of the Rock of Eternity.

According to DC Comics, Black Adam was exiled because he “allowed his powers to corrupt his ideals and desires”. He is an enemy to Earth’s heroes but truly believes what he does is necessary for the greater good.
